Camping at the Capitol State Forest

Just this past weekend Jeff, the kids and I got together with a bunch of friends and went camping and off-roading. We stayed at the Capitol State Forest and found the best camp site ever. We had this amazing view (the pictures really don't do it any justice) and the weather was incredible (over 90 degrees).

When we found this place, it needed a little renovation. So Tyler took initiative and decided to mow down the dry grass so we could set up the big tent. We ended up having 4 tents. We were well prepared. 4 vehicles, 10 chairs, 30 hotdogs (a few were strictly all beef for lil Kim, she's allergic to poultry), bags and bags of chips and snacks, smores', etc.
I love this picture, how often do you get to sleep next to wild flowers this nice.

It wasn't long before the boys decided to take it off. Tyler said that he was trying to fix his farmers tan, but we all know he was trying to impress Jeff with his pecks. LOL, kidding.

Guys are always pitching tents. he he he. (This really is a house in disguise.)

Who wouldn't want to wake up and have this in their window. It would have been much better if we had portable AC and Tyler had underwear.

Oh my gosh, so this is so funny. We couldn't tell if Kai was eating the chips or if the bag of chips was eating him.

Of course Terra had to get dirty and get a little mud on the tire...(an the head lights, an the hood, and the windows)
Rubi played too. We like to think that this was a mud bath and a great exfolliant for the girls....
We played cards, watched Ariana do her magic tricks, and played catch phrase.
